Germund Dahlquist - Founder of NADA Germund Dahlquist worked as professor in Numerical Analysis at KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) and SU (Stockholm University) in 1963-1990, and as a guest professor att Stanford University in 1982-1986. He was one of the true Swedish pioneers in Computer Science. Germund Dahlquist 1925-2005 Germund Dahlquist was a portal figure of Numerical Analysis and the founder of the department that grew to this school. The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, SIAM, gives a Dahlquist Prize every other year since 1995. Comsol, a company started by former students of Germund Dahlquist, sponsors a Dahlquist postdoctoral fellowship at KTH. |
