COMSOL Certifies AMD Graphics Cards
Posted on February 1st, 2012 by Fanny Littmarck
Recently we certified AMD FirePro graphics cards and acknowledged AMD as a COMSOL partner. We are especially excited about this, as we know the importance of excellent graphics cards when simulating models.
Creating visual representations of simulation results during postprocessing often involves combining data from various parameters into a single model. In order to effectively present your results with isosurfaces, particle tracing, videos, or color plots, you need a graphics card that is up to the challenge. AMD FirePro graphics cards are just that.

从下面合作内容来看,目前还只是数据处理部分,期待有更深入合作。AMD FirePro™ Optimized Certified for COMSOL Multiphysics® Visualizing graphics is an important part in simulating both designs and processes in COMSOL Multiphysics®. Graphics are used to get a quick take on the range of results and data in a simulation, as well as to provide deeper understanding of the models and underlying physics that are being simulated. A large number of tools are available in COMSOL Multiphysics to present these results; such as color plots, streamlines, isosurfaces, arrow vectors, transparency, videos and even particle tracing. In many cases, multiple results from different parameters are required to be visualized in a single model – a challenge that the AMD FirePro™ graphics cards manage superbly.
“We at COMSOL pride ourselves in the work we have put into developing our postprocessing abilities, particularly when it comes to graphics. Ultimately, we want our customers to enhance the models they have created through the graphics they present, and not only for being visually pleasing. Often, combinations of COMSOL’s postprocessing tools are required to adequately present all the relevant results from a multiphysics simulation, which puts a strain on presenting such graphics. This requires superior graphics cards, and we are pleased to be able to work with AMD to ensure that COMSOL Multiphysics works infallibly on their AMD FirePro™ series of graphics cards range.” -Phil Kinnane, VP of Business Development, COMSOL, Inc.To learn more about COMSOL, visit
