New Tutorials for RF and Microwave Applications News | Posted on March 9th, 2012 by Phil Kinnane I’ve been blogging quite a bit about RF models the last few weeks. This is because, lately, we have been producing quite a number of them. A press release that was published yesterday summarizes this work: “Tutorial Package Has 20 New Models for Antenna Design, Plasmonics, and Benchmarking Electromagnetics Simulations”. With these 20 new models, over 50 RF, Microwave and Photonic models are available on the web for COMSOL Multiphysics users to access. Apart from the cavity filter shown in this posting, other examples include a microstrip patch antenna, double-layered dielectric lens radome, branch line coupler, and my favorite: a great-looking dielectric resonator antenna. As Jiyoun Munn, microwave applications expert at COMSOL, says: “They show you step-by-step how to quickly create the geometry and set up material properties, ports, and other boundary conditions. There’s even an emphasis on production of relevant S-parameter and far-field radiation pattern outputs, which are vital for mak ing informed design decisions.” |
